Sweet - but not in my KPA settings - General dialog..
I loaded yesterday the SVN version and it's not there.

I only have
New Images
  - trust image dates
  - use EXIF orientation
  - use EXIF description
  - search for new images on startup
Size of Histogram boxes
Use compressed index.xml
Cuto save every..
Number of backups to keep
Compress backup file
Category for virtual albums

kphotoalbum -v shows
Qt: 3.3.6
KDE: 3.5.3
KPhotoAlbum: 2.2

After loading the SVN at least the splash screen image changed so I
suppose I'm using the latest version.

Jesper: Is the option still there in the latest versions?

Starting up KPA with 41 000+ photos takes 7 minutes with no new photos.
