[KPhotoAlbum] Little patch and some ideas I like to implement

Hi,
I am a pleased user of kimdaba/kpa for several years now and would
like to help out in the core kpa because there are some features I'd
like to see .. so its only fair to implement them myself, right ?

The following are random thoughts for improvement I would like to work
on, but I haven't looked deeply in the code yet, so I might miss some
obvious 'already there' facts. So feel free to flame me ;-)

One area I am interested in is improving the display speed of images
even more by precalculating the most likely requested images (zoom
from window to fullscreen for instance) in a background thread.
Judging from a quick glance at the code, there already has been a lot
of work to make the speed of image loading as smooth as possible, so
this might need some experimenting..

Since I often take several pictures in a series, I would like to
implement a feature that allows to do a manual side-by-side comparison
of a set of selected pictures to be able to choose the 'best' shot(s).
Internally, all of these pictures would be marked as part of the
series, however only the selected ones are shown in the thumbnail view
(with some way to expand the whole series in the thumbnail view).
Since this requires to modify the thumbnail viewer as such, its
probably not easily implemented as plugin.

While reading the code, I did some small changes - see attached patch.
One is to display the 'Megapixels' next to the image size. Admittedly
a very stupid piece of information, but I am telling ya, I've been
asked more than once "uh, nice picture, how many Megapixels does it
have ?". This answers stupid questions without using up too much
space.
The other change shows the zoom-factor of a zoomed image in the window caption.

cheers,
  -henner
