Yes, please do! As long as the weather is still fine here in austria I'm 
afraid I won't have to much time for testing ;-) But I definitely will test 
it sooner or later. And having incremental patches would make things 
easier.

BTW: I like your ideas, especially the improved performance issues with 
displaying images.
