[KPhotoAlbum] Replacing 2.1 with 2.2

If I had version 2.1 installed, and I want to install 2.2, should I
assume then that I already have KEXIF, KIPI, kipi-plugins, EXIV2,
libkexif, libkipi and kipiplugins already installed?

I would wait for a Kubuntu package if I knew that one is being worked
on, but as I don't know, then I will attempt to install from source.
But I don't know how to check if all these prerequisites are already
installed.

Also, I have three addresses for the mailing list:
kphotoalbum at kdab.net kimdaba at kdab.net KPhotoAlbum at mail.kdab.net
Which one should I use?
