Yes, text added either as jpeg comments or IPTC keywords _doesn't_
alter the image in any way. It is a reversible transformation.

Note also that jpeg rotating (in 90 degrees increments) can be done as 
a complete lossless operation, see for example jpegtran, and I think 
that kimdaba performs lossless rotation via a plugin.

My personal view: kimdaba should remain an image management 
application, keeping it simple and elegant. If you really want
editing from inside kimdaba, then use a kipi plugin.
