I successfully built a local .deb from this using the old packaging.
Thanks!
I'm excited to be able to do searches based on the EXIF data. This is
great! I also like how you've set up the configuration of what EXIF
fields to display in the image viewer and EXIF dialog.
A couple comments:
1. It's not reading ISO info for my camera, a Nikon D70. It's Nikon's
fault; they put it in the makernote rather than where it belongs. The
commandline exiv2 tool does find and show it in the summary view. I
haven't looked at the exiv2 interface but maybe it provides you access
to its "cooked" data rather than having to replicate all the
special-case conditions for various cameras/makers. You can get a
sample image from http://jekyl.no-ip.org/doug/dsc_4566.jpg .
2. Any chance of being able to search on an arbitraty EXIF tag? I
realize it would have to go in the database and so would have to be
configured up front. For example, the Nikon MakerNote has a field to
specify what lens was used, which would be a handly thing to search by.
