This is an update on bug 229195, where the birthday didn't propagate. 

On checking I discovered that while the birthday did propagate, if deleted from
the contact details, it remains in the calendar

If you delete the contact, the birthday is removed from the calendar

Expected Results:  
can add and remove birthday from contact and it appears and disappears from
calendar
