I do not know what action actually started the crash the first time. Now the
crash is reported and the below report is provided whenever I start kontact,
and whenever I try to start the calender in kontact. It is impossible to access
the calender or the reminder function, but mail and addresses work fine. 

I do not know whether the bug is specific to KDE 3... or whether it can be
avoided if I try to switch to KDE 4.... Some of the resolved bug reports seem
to indicate this. HOwever I would prefer to stick with KDE 3 as it is said to
be more stable. 
I am an absolute layman and have no idea how to solve the problems myself, e.g.
how to "update from trunk" or do other action as has been suggested in some
resolution.
