This problem is still happening and I think I now understand the 
systematics. It is also a korganizer problem and not akonadi, I think, as 
I see the problem occuring also for a spearate calendar with a single test 
event that recurs once a week.

During the day that the event should happen, the start date keeps getting 
set to that date. A day later I can set the start date back again (using 
the Event List) and it reappears in the Week view.

I hope this can get fixed soon. It is very irritating. As a result I do 
not get any reminders for recurring events on the day that they actually 
happen!
