I login. It works.
I ignore it. Eventually I notice that it's gone from the system tray--either
exited or crashed (with no action on my part).
There is no warning, error, notification, nor crash message--it's just gone.
When I launch it again, there is no indication that there was ever any problem.

I'm using yahoo and jabber (google).

I doubt this is related, but just in case: ever since I upgraded to 4.4.1 (from
4.3.4), every time it asks for a password now it brings up the kde wallet
dialog twice in a row (I always cancel). It used to only do it once per
password.
