New info: if my peer changes state, like goes from "online" to "busy", it
appears on my list. It seems that when restarting Kopete, or after suspending,
it loses sync with the server.

I've tested it, I *quitted* kopete, then started it. Meanwhile logged in the
sametime server, Kopete showed my status "online", but none of my contacts were
shown online. Whenever an online-but-shown-offline contact in my list changes
state, it appears on my list.
