There should be a way to save custom emoticons and images received (and sent)
in a discussion.

The more logical way would be a "Save as..." option with a right click on an
image. Currently, a right click gives the possibility to save the entire
discussion even if the click happens on an image in the discussion.

I think this feature use to be in Kopete in KDE 3.5.
