As mentioned: actually irrelevant since this has to be added much deeper down
if it shall be used generically.

The present function is ok on the application layer and for applications that
do not invoke plugins with the least impact on this (ie. adding own blurred
items, including the style) - ie. the plasma panel case.
Using it elsewhere will result in an unresolvable conflict.

Otherwise a hint system and implementation in the toolkit or implanting a
BlurManager™ is inevitable in order to resolve conflicts.

And this should happen in Qt5/KF5 - yes.
