"selecting something in tab A or another application clears the selection in
tab B", that is what gnome-terminal does,  what you want kosole to do and what
that reporter and I find annoying.

"Btw, the converse happens too: if you select some text in a konsole, then
paste it within same, the originally selected text is no longer highlighted,
even though it is still selected", that looks like a bug to me. I will take a
look .
