Summary: Konsole will not allow me to enter a password after
typing the su or sudo commands.
Product: konsole
Version: 2.6.4
Platform: Mandriva RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konsole-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: tomweir at brynn.id.au
Version: 2.6.4 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux
I am trying to change the fstab file using konsle . Initially I could use the
su command and then type my root password but now konsole will not type the
password on the command line. I can get out of the su command by pressing enter
key but I then get the message invalid password. I also tried with the sudo
command and was asked for my username pasword but the result was the same as
above but the command line response at the end was that I had made 3 invalid
tries.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Type su on konsole command line
Expected Results:
Should allow me to enter a password and access files as a Super User
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.39.4-4.2-server
Compiler: gcc
