I can confirm any konsole lockup/crash disables input on all other konsole
tabs/instances.  Under 4.2.0/FreeBSD-current I can hang console simply by
dumping any binary file to the terminal via the shell.

I hit this every once in a while when I forget to add a destination to curl and
it starts spewing the binary file to the terminal.

This appears for the X session log when this happens.  This may coincide with
the reporters 'typing random garbage'. ** == my comments
