Again, I don't disagree per-se. However...

...I'm not sure I agree with this. Of course it's your time, and I'm not
going to demand you make changes :-). But I hope you would entertain
patches at a future date, say, if I wanted to split konsole into using a
process-per-tab model and did a large chunk (i.e. more than half) of the
work.
I also think it might be more worthwhile for testing and for people like
me that run trunk, where stability problems can occur more often simply
as the result of a bad build (i.e. checking out an svn version with a
known bug).
