If you want a new type of session which launches Midnight Commander when started then you can create one via Settings -> Manage Profiles -> New Profile and enter "mc" in the Command field.

The "Root" and "Root Midnight Commander" types were dropped because I think it is inadvisable to encourage users to run entire sessions as root, as opposed to sudo-ing individual commands.  Users are free to create their own root profiles if they want them - I just won't ship them out of the box.
