Please see Comment #8 for a detailed description of what caused me to file this bug. Leaving off only the last newline does not prevent the a wrong shell command being executed. It could definitely be a useful feature, but it's mostly unrelated to this bug.

What is most important to me, is that there will be a way to prevent a shell running in Konsole from executing something that I accidentally pasted without me pressing Enter. Whether that is done by pasting only until the first newline, by a confirmation dialog (a la Konversation) or in some other way does not really matter to me.

I also don't really mind what the default behaviour is. I personally feel that the defaults should be on the safe side, but if that annoys too many hardcore shell users, I have no problem toggling a checkbox in Konsole's config dialog.
