I  tried to comment and then remove the line :
/usr/lib/qt3/plugins/inputmethods/libqscim.so from the .qt/qt_plugins_3.3rc
and then i launch a new Konsole : no success, still no transparency.

I just tried your last tip ( chmod 000 on the *scim*.so ) and no success
here too.... : (

Still no transparency... Here the output when i launch konsole from konsole

(Note that i get the two X Error when i launch any applications, i left it
just in case it could help you, but i don't think it's will turn out to be
the root cause).
