hello,
control-alt-N indeed differs from 'new shell', it opens the lastly used session type.
i have many configured session types (ssh to that host, ssh via that host to that host, ...), and
when i hit control-alt-N it always uses the lastly used session type.
this might be a feature and not a bug, but it is very inconvenient as it means unpredictable
behaviour (i opened a ssh shell, i closed it again, but the next 'control-alt-n' will still connect to
that host), and i mostly use (like probably almost everybody) the normal shell, so its almost
never 'right'.
I think there are two possible solutions:
- use a default session type for the shortcut key
- let the user assign a shortcut key for every session type (this would be sexy, but overkill
maybe)
thanks!
greetings,
frank
