Subject: konsole fails to scroll when a part of the terminal is mouse-selected
From: jk1 at bigfoot.com
X-KDE-Received: -4.3.94.221
Package: konsole
Version: KDE 2.9.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 2.96
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: RedHat 7.1
If part of the terminal screen has been selected via the mouse, Konsole's output fails to scroll past the bottom of the screen. The command prompt therefore gets "lost."
How to reproduce:
select part of the Konsole terminal with the mouse. Issue a command (like ls -l) that generates output that goes past the bottom of the screen. Instead of moving everything on the screen up so you can see the full output of your command (and get the command prompt back), Konsole leaves the screen as it is and the scrollbar moves up.
Expected behavior:
the terminal should display the full output and return to the command prompt at the bottom of the screen. This is how it behaved in the past and how other terminal apps behave.
