Subject: Can't change settings for built-in sessions
From: elbows at spamcop.net
X-KDE-Received: -150.209.147.157

Package: konsole
Version: KDE 2.9.2
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 2.95.4
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Debian unstable

Configure konsole and change the settings for one of the built-in sessions, say "Shell". Then save as shell.desktop.

This file will be saved in my .kde, and the Sessions configuration tab will show settings from this file. However, konsole appears to still use the settings from the original version of shell.desktop.

This is confusing, b/c you have the appearance of changing the settings, but it won't actually work.

Also, konsole uses the Shell session by default every time it starts up, so there is no way to change the settings of Shell (unless you have root access).
