[Konsole-devel] Bug#40183: japanese text is displayed incorrectly

Although I can enter japanese text via kinput2 in Konsole when I start it with ja_JP locale, the kanji and kana characters look pretty messed up.
For example, when I press backspace after such a character, only one half of it is actually deleted.
Several other KDE apps have no problems in this respect, e.g. Konqueror and KMail.
