I think u need super user privileges to run the konqueror embedded

I had the same problem when I run the configure file under user mode.

It is solved when I switched to root.

I don't know the exact reason but I could able to solve like this.

Regards

Satish

Subject: Konqueror and Qtopia

Hello all,

I try to compile konqueror embedded (snapshot from 5. July 2003) with
Qtopia 1.7.0.

But I have always problems with configure:

->

./configure --enable-qt-embedded --enable-qtopia --enable-embedded
--enable-large-icons --enable-qpe --with-gui=qpe
--with-qtopia-dir=/home/ralf/qtopia-free-1.7.0
--with-extra-libs=/home/ralf/qtopia-free-1.7.0/lib/
--with-extra-includes=/home/ralf/qtopia-free-1.7.0/include/
--with-javascript=static --enable-xmlui --enable-cgi --enable-fontsubs
--enable-jshostext --enable-sidebar

<-

The configure script stops always with:

->

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 2.2.2) (library qte) not
found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.

<-

And in the Log file I read:

->

configure:22212: rm -rf SunWS_cache; g++ -o conftest -Wnon-virtual-dtor
-Wno-long-long -Wundef -Wall -pedantic -W -Wpointer-arith
-Wmissing-prototypes -Wwrite-strings -ansi -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500
-D_BSD_SOURCE -Wcast-align -Wconversion -O2 -fno-exceptions
-fno-check-new -fno-rtti -I/home/ralf/qt-2.3.7/include  -DQWS
-D_REENTRANT  -L/home/ralf/qt-2.3.7/lib
-L/home/ralf/qtopia-free-1.7.0/lib/ conftest.cc -lqte -lpng -lz -lm
-ljpeg  1>&5
/home/ralf/qt-2.3.7/lib/libqte.so: undefined reference to
`QWizard::staticMetaObject()'

<-

The QT-Embedded Library (2.3.7) was compiled with support for Qtopia, as
it is described by Trolltech (README.html in the qtopia sources).

Qt Embedded and Qtopia compile fine, but not konqueror.

Has anyone any idea ?

Thanks,

Ralf
