newbie questions

Hello All,

I am very new to this list so please be a little patient with my
newbie questions, ok.

first could some one please tell me the major difference between
Konqueror/Embedded and Konqueror?

My guessing is that it is a light-weight version and is just what I
need as I am running qvwm for our project and not KDE.

Also, is there some way to configure the filemanager such that it
will not let the users navigate out of their home directory?

Lastly, I would like to be able to set up some associations with
applications such as StarOffice/OpenOffice suite and the documents
that they run.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
