Security is my main concern. While they say the data is ready only, if they get access to my credentials that is not read only. It would be nice if every bank let you setup read only credentials for just this purpose.
I heard about this from Leo Laporte on the Security Now podcast. He used AI to write his own financial software and uses SimpleFIN to update it every day.

While SimpleFIN may not store your bank account credentials, does this imply that SimpleFIN has been itself trusted by the bank to be given your data? If so (and the access token or the access URL derived from it is what authorizes the bank to release the data) does that mean that your financial data (even if not your password) goes through SimpleFIN? That seems to be exactly the same model Intuit is now using, and while the price is much better, and you are not locked into any expensive software, I'm not sure how happy I would be with that setup.
