How can I change the opening amount on the Reconcile screen. The amount shown is grayed out and it is not correct

In KMyMoney, when I try to reconcile an account, in this case, my Checking
account, the opening balance does not match the actual opening amount. This
number is grayed out and cannot be changed. How can I do this?
The previous month’s reconcile worked great but I cannot get the next
month’s to work because of this.
