Check on KMyMoney5

I have recently moved from Linux Mint, KDE, to Kubuntu because Linux 
Mint is no longer supporting my preferred D.E.  In doing so, I've also 
upgraded from KMyMoney 4 to KMyMoney5.

I have discovered that, while printing out checks the date field no 
longer shows the date spelled out and is now showing the numerical 
version.  For example

Previously:

Thursday, March 08, 2018

Now

03/08/2018

Is this controlled by the plugin, KDE settings or KMyMoney?  And, can it 
be changed?

KMyMoney is installed from packages:

dpkg -l|grep -i kmymoney

ii  kmymoney 5.0.1-2                                     amd64        
personal finance manager for KDE
ii  kmymoney-common 5.0.1-2                                     
all          KMyMoney architecture independent files
