Are you sure about that?  Current GMP is 6.1.2, and at least on my  
(Gentoo) PC, it has libgmp.so.10.3.2 and libgmpxx.so.4.5.2, so 2.6  
doesn't make sense.  It does seem unlikely, but is it possible Linux  
Mint Debian Version 2 is packaging an old version?  I've been hunting,  
and can't seem to find any LMDE package for GMP - so where did you get  
yours?
