Problems updating mutual fund prices using Yahoo.com

Yes, updating to Ubuntu 18.04 will definitely get you KMyMoney 5.x,
although I'm not certain which exact version.

I have no idea how you were getting useful data from Yahoo that
recently, but I don't think those old discussions will help you. There
have been lots of suggestions, and I suppose people have found
solutions that work for them - I ended up using the FT source, and even
there, for a few securities I had to explicitly include the exchange in
the name (appending :NYE to the symbol, for example, if it was the New
York Stock Exchange.) One problem is that just upgrading KMyMoney will
not update the price sources, because of how they are stored for you,
but after you upgrade, if you still have problems fetching prices, post
back here, and someone will get it working again for you.
