kmymoney 5 frameworks

Does the new kmymoney 5 frameworks use Tier 1 libraries only, or also
higher order libraries as well? Tier 1 libraries as I understand have no
dependencies other than system libraries and Qt itself.

Would kmymoney 5 installation on a non KDE linux system such as Mint or
LMDE2 require one to use the Plasma desktop or could it also be run
under MATE say?

Is there any chance of kmymoney 5 being bundled similar to a snap
package in Ubuntu which contains all the dependencies required for that
application?

Just wondering how much effort or change will be required to switch. Or
will the version on Development Platform 4 still be supported?
