Yes, it seems to run fine now. I was about to update my previous note
here right after I updated that bug yesterday, and got distracted.
Between my first attempt and yesterday, I did some Windows updates and
rebooted the Vista machine. When I get the chance, I'm going to
uninstall and reinstall, and see if a reboot is really required after
installing before you can run the program successfully. I can't
imagine why that should be so, but it's Windows, so I no longer ask
such questions.
