I won't confuse things by getting involved in the detailed discussion,
but just but in here.  By 'KMM v2.4.6', I take it you meant 4.6.2.  To
save having to compile the source, I would suggest looking for the
Claydoh PPA, as it has a ready-built 4.6.3.
