SUMMARY
A stock split transaction does not get assigned a category, nor is there a way
to put one in through the user interface. Splits are not ignored in category
reporting.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Perform a stock split in an investment account
2. Create a custom transaction report filtered by category
3. Run report

OBSERVED RESULT
Stock splits are reported in the *** UNASSIGNED *** category when running the
transaction report. However, it does not throw an error when saving like other
unassigned transactions.

EXPECTED RESULT
Stock splits are either assigned a category or are excluded from transaction
reports filtered by category like transfers
