Brendan,
thanks for your report. This seems not correct and I have no idea where to start. Are you in a position to craft a sample .kmy and .ofx file that show the problem? That would simplify the research here tremendously. Thanks in advance.

Each imported transaction recognized that it was the same security so that the balance increased by the number of addition shares I purchased with each transaction. This happened as expected so I'm mostly assuming what happened since it was unremarkable at the time.

Almost all fields are blank until I start typing the symbol. After 2 letters it fills the rest in. If I cancel this process, the rest of the import is also canceled. If I continue, it creates the transaction and adds an identical security to my investments for this account. This happens for each transaction of the same stock. After adding the 3 to each account there were 3 identical entries in the Investments/Equities tab. Each one was also handled separately in the ledger so that the last purchase only showed the Balance of the shares for that purchase.

After doing this, the balance of shares was correct. I deleted the no longer used entries in the Investments/Equities tab. None of the shares were updating the stock price so I edited each and turned on Yahoo Finance for each. After doing this I had 3 separate entries in the Update Stock window. In the past when I had the same security in more than one account I only had one entry in the update stock window.

I have many dozens of CDs in there that make it hard to find the stocks and this eliminates that problem. I don't think this is the cause of the problem because it happens before I can rename them when there is more than one transaction in the OFX file but I mention it just in case.
