What are the opening dates of accounts C and B?  If either of them is later
than the date you are trying to set as the purchase date, then at minimum the
transaction would be flagged as an error in a consistency check.  I'm not
capable of determining from the backtrace whether that is the cause, but can
you check if the crash still happens if the account opening dates are prior to
the date of the new bond transaction?
