Yes. But I am not sure if that helps in your case (see below).

Are the 500 an expense or some asset transaction (partially an amortization)? The date range is not a problem, the important part is to the financial transactions right.

Not 100% right now. Are you tracking all transactions in your bank account with KMyMoney?
