I was trying to set up my bank to see if I could download QFX files directly
into KMyMoney.  

I hadn't found any mention that the bank had to supply the OFX file format for
this feature to work and the error didn't tell me enough to see my mistake.

President's Choice Financial personal banking services are provided by the
direct banking division of CIBC.

looks more like a JSON response to me. This is not what the OFX protocol
expects.

Where did you get the URL and other information for online access from? Does
your bank claim to support OFX online banking? I don't see 'PC Financial'
listed on ofxhome.com which we use as directory service, so I assume you have
entered them manually.
