I'm actually using windows.

In any case it is also in english, just my location is set to israel, this is
useful because of time zone, date format etc.

I don't have any other application installed (at least not using the same
method of kmy, I do have vlc for windows).

I can install and test something else no problem, just tell me what program
would be a good test case and I will report back.
