Did you have a look at http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=18719 to see 
if there is a binary package for you? I do see some 4.6.1 packages for Ubuntu 
on https://launchpad.net/~claydoh/+archive/kmymoney2-kde4
