I've been following the discussion on k-c-d. I don't think that the
locale settings should be available in KMyMoney's settings dialog
because I feel that it could give a user the false feeling that he is
changing KMyMoney settings in there.
After all we use the locale setting of the KDE config system and if
that is not set to a proper value (read from the system locale or
something like that), when running another DE, then that's a config
system problem.
I really don't agree with the 'application should be standalone'
arguments in all aspects because then you'll end up duplicating a lot
of settings and it does not seem right to change a system setting from
the application (although I think we already do that). That's where a
'platform' comes in it should provide some services upon which to
build an application.
And other then gaining a shortcut for 'kcmshell4 locale' what would be
the benefits. One does not need 'System settings' to run that because
from what I understood the KCM modules are not part of the system
settings application.
