As things are, the columns are displayed at default width, which allows 
more columns to be seen at a time, in order to select the relevant 
fields.  They may also be individually dragged to see the full content, 
should that be necessary.  However, I'm OK with full width display, instead.

I hadn't looked at KSpread, and I too like the tabs, although the first, 
data, tab has two check boxes, which threw me at first. There can be 
several header lines - up to 6, I've seen, so I can't see a use for the 
boxes.  Or, there may be none.

I suspect not many, if any, general users are yet using it, although one 
or two may still be using the old free-standing app.  They may not be 
regular list viewers though.

Although I laboured long and hard tweaking the UI to just display the 
data and not empty space, I'm OK with your changes.

Should I look at the tab approach, or do I give priority to your decimal 
separator change?
