Just answering my own query, for all those who can't sleep for the
worry:)

Yes, a zero amount is valid as I've just received two.  Like, for
instance, a regular interest payment that has dwindled away.  Or, even
on a credit card, for redemption of a loyalty bonus as vouchers.
