Whether I show the transaction form or not seems to make no difference to the 
remaining items displayed.  An item that is being edited displays OK, but the 
rest don't.  I'm not making a big thing out of this and can certainly live 
with it, but wouldn't having the date right justified avoid the problem, if 
that's easy?  Actually, turning off the grid helps, so I might try that way 
for a while.  While still not labouring the point (!), and just for future 
optimisation and usability, on an investment ledger display, the value and 
balance columns seemed congested with acres (sorry, hectares) available 
elsewhere.  The balance column, I would think, should be wider that the 
quantity, rather that narrower.
