The same here.

Also on your daily basis you should use the 'Release' build (it has better 
performance) and only use the 'Debug' build if you would like to obtain the 
stack trace from a crash.

We will try to improve the performance of the ledger but we will only apply 
improvements after we are sure we're not going to break the functionality. As 
you know 'premature optimization is the root of all evil' (well since kmymoney 
has it's age maybe it's not that appropriate here) :).
