Hi all,
this is a summary of today's meeting on #kmymoney
Attendants: Cristian Onet, Ian Neal, Alvaro Soliverez, Jack Ostroff, Thomas
Baumgart
- Agreement, that the 3.98.1 release was well received by the audience
- After the move to kdereview we received the request to add more context
information to the i18n calls. This has been finished in the meantime. Another
request was to drop our libkdchart copy. This is planned once KDAB releases a
stable package. Until then we stick with our own copy.
- Around 300 more issues are reported when running krazy locally. Developers
are encouraged to install krazy locally to see them.
- We have 2 crashes and 10 bugs currently open on bko. We need someone to
work on the import/export problems. We have asked for anonymous file support
for the two crashes.
- Next major step is to get rid of the remaining Q3/K3 support classes.
* Thomas takes OFX and KBanking plugin
* Cristian takes the account trees in all instances
* Alvaro takes Budget and Forecast views
- The above list should be added to the wiki page and be maintained there
- Alvaro talks to Bernd Gonsior if he can take care of the report view
- The ledger performance is still an issue. It is expected to be resolved once
the ledger code uses the MVC capabilites. Work on the transform towards MVC
will not be started before the stable release though (too risky). Users should
be directed to use the filters to limit the number of visible transactions
which speeds up things. These tips should be added to the FAQ and
documentation.
- Jack will try to work on the documentation during his upcoming vacation
- A sample file will be provided and used for documentation purposes
(screenshots) and examples. The sample file will be made part of the package.
- Some QIF and OFX samples will be provided as well. Jack will rework some of
his real files for that.
- OFX import on investment accounts has some known issues as has the whole
investment support. These will have to wait until after the release.
Please, feel free to add anything I may have left out, or that you
feel needs further explanation.
Next meeting: June 17th, 16:00 UTC, #kmymoney on freenode.net
