       Hi all,

I was having fun today poking around the
kmymoney2_3.95.0-0ubuntu1~ppa5_i386.deb version compiled by Clay Weber when I
noticed some glitches.

First, I must say I'm always impressed by the advanced state of the Kde4 port,
it looks great !
Second, as I'm only using a netbook, my resolution is quite low (1024x600),
which mean I need every spare pixel I can. That said, I must point out some
"problems" I encountered with the newly Kde4 version of KMyMoney.

1) Is it possible to hide the big KMyMoney banner (44 px) which sits at the
top of every screen ? I found the answer myself : Configure > General > Un-
check the option "Show title bar in each page".
2) In the ledgers view, the space taken by the information field is much more
big (192 px) than in the Kde3 version.
3) Still in the ledgers view, the space between the ledger and the information
fields seems overly big too (62 px), compared to the amount of information it
holds (Balance, and the buttons new, delete, etc.).
4) If I click the "payees" button, the Payees view appear (which is great),
but somehow the height of the whole KMyMoney window exceeds 600 px, which mean
it doesn't fit in my screen. Moreover, if i try to change view to ledgers
again, I still can't reduce the window. For info, I'm using Compiz, which make
the following problem worse as the mouse click is wrongly handled if the
window is in "maximize mode" and exceeds the desktop size.
5) The budgets view is wider than my screen resolution as well, and cannot by
reduced.
6) The Configure window is too high for my netbook resolution as well.
7) At the bottom of the KMM window, there is a status bar of 26 px height,
which only shows "ready" once the kmy file is loaded, is there a way to reduce
that size or hide it ?

That said, I know that Kde4 is totally not small-resolution-friendly compared
to Kde3, but I think some of the problems mentioned above could make KMM more
usable on netbooks.

The following as no relation with the screen resolution issue, but here are
some things I stumbled upon :
a) I haven't found a way to sort the finished scheduled transaction on top of
the non-finished ones.
b) In the ledgers view, the "Show balance chart is great", but lacks the
"future" view the Kde3 version had.
