You are missing my point.

However, IMHO it is self-explanatory that the composition, pose and
action for a simplified mascot should be like that:

She's standing in a dynamic "Jack Kirby"ish position, the composition is
not too complex, the palette and easel are unambiguous.

much more, but the composition ist to complex, the sitting mascot has
not that dynamic appeal and it's less clear what she's doing, maybe
she's writing.

The theme is a matter on it's own. Of course, the theme should match the
color palette of the logo.

Just my opinion ;).
