Hello folks, GSoC will soon be ramping up. I will not take the lead for
GSoC this year, and am looking for more willing admins so we can share the
load. Write to KDE-Soc-Management at kde.org if you are willing to help out.

Meanwhile, https://community.kde.org/GSoC/2022/Ideas has been created
(thanks, Johnny!) and now needs Ideas. Also read over the main GSoC page
and the lead-in to the Ideas page, and propose changes. I have not vetted
it to change links or reflect the new guidelines from Google Open Source
Programs, and this needs to be done soon by someone who is not me.

Please talk to your teams, find out who will mentor and get them to
subscribe to this list, and begin to sketch out your ideas for student
projects. Remember, we'll have a complicated timeline this year, which is
one of the reasons I cannot take the lead for 2022. We'll need Ideas for
both the short and longer timelines.

And please think about stepping up to lead our GSoC effort this year.
